Michael Gove invites you to worship at the church of Brexit.
The Boris hive mind pretends to look busy.
What's all this about then?
In these upsetting times, it's important to have something to laugh about. Hence, "Boris - The Musical", the tragicomic tale of Britain's finest politiclown, BoJo, told through the medium of song.
Watch the rise of Britain's most popular politician. Hear the (soon to be) smash hits, "I'm talking about Brexit", "Me and My Johnson" and "BeLeave!" Experience the life and times of Boris, Britain's Berlusconi - in song! (Recommended age 14+)
What should we expect?
Part biography, part farce, and part songtastic political satire, all rolled into one hour of theatre. The show features four actors, each playing multiple roles, and a live 4-piece band. It's been described as "the musical for people who hate musicals", with genres ranging from tango to punk and everything in between, including an epic ballad or two.
As for our Boris (played by the larger-than-life David Burchhardt), don't be surprised if you get to meet him or at least touch his coat-tails in passing. After all, Boris Johnson isn't known to be shy.
How did it all come about?
After the referendum, our playwright Laurence decided that the only way to deal with Brexit would be to write a musical. He knew a few creative folks, and we knew a few others, and within a couple of months it had snowballed into a fully-fledged musical, opening to sell-out crowds and a standing ovation at the Library Theatre in Sheffield.
Here's our creative team (left to right: director Kyle, writer Laurence, musical director Dom, and composer Hollie).
